A Brief Look at the Life of Deborah The Daughters of Deborah mentoring ministry is based upon the life of Deborah, in Judges 4:4-5.
Deborah is a personal name meaning “bee.” She was judged in the time of Judges, after Joshua and before the Kings. Deborah was a governing leader, known to be a prophetess, a judge, and the wife of Lapidoth. She is thought to have lived about 1200 B.C. She is described as “a mother in Israel” following her role in delivering God’s people. She was unique in that Samuel was the only other person to fill all of these positions: prophet, judge, and military leader after Moses. Read More About Deborah
